This is a visual guide on how to construct your garland!
You'll need:
★ Construction paper
★ A pair of scissors
★ A stapler
★ Tape
★ A pen
Optionally:
★ A glue stick
★ A hole punch
1. Gather your materials! You will need to print the template provided or have drawn your perfered shapes on a seprate piece of paper.

2. Start by cutting out your templates. Remember you only need to choose 3 to complete the prompt, but you are free to use as many as you desire!

3. Next we need to prepare our colored construction paper. Fold your paper in half along the vertical, or "hotdog" style. Crease the paper to give yourself a guide to cut along. Three standard sheets of paper will give about 66 inches of length to your garland.

4. Once all parts are cut out, tape the short end of the strips together from one side. This will be the back of your garland.

5. Take some time to align your templates. Start at the end of your paper and make sure they fit nicely without major gaps! Once you find a good fit, trace them onto the back side of your garland. Don't want to trace? Try glueing down your templates instead!

6. It's time to fold all the excess paper behind your designs. This will be folded in an accordion fashion. It's very important to make sure the ends of your traced design matches up to where you set your folds, otherwise you risk accidentally cutting your garland apart in the middle!

7. Working with so much paper can be difficult, so it's recomended to staple along the outer edges to hold the layers in place as you cut! Make sure the staples do not enter the bounds of your design- or you'll struggle to unfold it later!

8. Almost done! Cut out your traced design. Remember to mind the folded edges when cutting!! It's OK to fudge the shapes a little to keep the string going. (You can see I did so on the Ru Berry!) For details like the boolew's eye or the affocato's stem loop I used a hole punch and punched through all layers at once to keep consistency. To better define the shape of the ruberry to autumn leaf, I made a small cut that did not compermise the string's intergity.

Finally, I decorated the entire string from the good side with marker to help define each template's shape!
