Greenhouse gifts

Due to genetic engineering, Xeros can display a wide range of different mutations. They can even change these mutations at will: by eating tailor-made plants from the ARC Greenhouse, they are able to trigger their unique physiology to change in a controlled manner. This allows certain new traits to appear on any Xero. Does your Xero wish they could change any of their current mutations? Maybe they think they would look cooler with horns, or maybe they wish they had a prehensile tail to use like an extra hand! Any answer is valid, but what does your Xero think?

INFORMATION

Draw or write about your Xero with a new trait and the fruit it comes from. It can be anything from daydreaming about snacking on a juicy spice plum and having a big plume tail to enjoying a lantern fruit smoothie and starting to glow. The only restriction is no Glitch or Subspecies traits - you must draw or write about a Greenhouse fruit and the trait it gives. After all, ARC doesn't sanction any of that glitch-stuff anyway... who is doing all of that?

Seasonal and Special fruit traits are also fine to use even if they are not in the Greenhouse! Just no Glitch or Subspecies traits.

The purpose of this prompt is to give you a jump start on your Xero and possibly develop their lore!

When submitting your entry for this prompt, please upload your piece to our on-site Gallery! Submissions uploaded to the Project Xero Gallery also earn 5 Prestige.

★ You can draw Ziggy or Luca, our mascots for this prompt! You can read all about them on their profiles. You may also or of course, draw your own Xero! Please do NOT use other users' Xeros for this prompt.

REQUIREMENTS

The submissions to this prompt must show good effort and adhere to the following guidelines:

★ You must draw or write about your Xero with a new trait and the fruit item that grants the trait.

★ You can draw or write about your own Xero, or use our mascots Ziggy or Luca if you do not have a Xero.

★ The artwork for this prompt must show at least one arm and around half of the body! You may draw a fullbody, but the rewards will not increase.

★ Any art must show good effort and does not appear rushed and must have at least relatively clean lines. Shading is not required.

★ You may draw or write about multiple Xeros in a submission, but the rewards will not increase.

★ Writing must be at least 500 words. Writing must show good effort. You will not be judged on grammar or spelling, but please do your best!

RESTRICTIONS

★ This prompt may only be submitted once per user.

★ Submissions submitted must be new and created by you.

INSTRUCTIONS

To submit your piece for this prompt, follow the instructions below!

1. First, upload your art or writing to our on-site Gallery!

2. Fill out all of the related information. Add a title and description, and from the Prompt drop-down box, select "Greenhouse Gifts". Click the "Add Character" button, and add the code for the character(s) featured in the piece. The code can be found on the character's Masterlist entry, it is the last part of the URL for their page or their number on the Masterlist. Submit the piece!

3. Copy the URL of the piece posted to the Gallery, and click "Submit Prompt" for Greenhouse Gifts.

4. Paste the URL of your piece to the "Submission URL" box. You can ignore all of the other fields in the prompt submission. The rewards are added automatically for you!
