Wishing Star - Fluer’s Garden
Whisking Star Prompt - Writing
Fluer yawned and stretched, arching his spine covered back in the process. The tips of his spines tingled and twitched with the ripple of his back and he shivered before finishing. He arched his toes next, wiggling each claw at the end methodically and with a patterned rhythm.
After awaking he peeked his head through his doorway, the lichen and ferns hanging across the stone entranceway to his cave acted like strings of beads in a 70’s bedroom decor. As his body pushed through them they dribbled morning dew onto his furry back, swishing and swatting with the movement of his body. He immediately made his way to the left once outside his cave. Looking at a narrow stretch of cleared grass along the side bank where his cavern was located.
“The perfect location for my herbs” he nodded after verbally announcing to himself. Flipping his tail around, he used both front paws and his tail to slowly and kindly remove the grass from the spot. Tugging at it with a passion and respect not many would offer ‘weeds’ but Fluer respected all forms of nature. Even those in which he didn’t want. After making a small pile of the grasses he was removing. He verified all of the roots were intact before planting them along the other side of the wall beside his entrance way.
He was new to this cavern, it wasn’t perfect but his goal was to make it a home. With the leafy trees over head and the bubbling brook just around the corner this was going to be his new home. After years of travelling and staying on the move Fluer realized he wanted something more, not a family not a mate not even a friend. Fluer wanted something of his own created under his own paws. A garden to support him, and to take care of in his days. Herbs had always been a favourite to him, cilantro being the most delicious and delicate herb he had ever tasted. His goal had always been to be the top cilantro producer across the realm he resided in. He could see himself wheeling his tiny cart to his own little stand. Where he would take his bunches of fresh cilantro and spritz them with his water bottle to keep them fresh. Fussing over his precious cargo of herbs. Perhaps eventually he could also dive into other herbs from Earth, garlic being a particularly fascinating plant that always peaked his curiosity. He had never tried garlic, but the bulbuls shape and how it was described to have a pungent odour was always strange and silly.
The hard part will only be to come though, as he learns the ways of gardening including battling pests that may nibble into his crops and dig into his soil. Fluer nods to himself as he considers his options standing and looking at his work. The grown brown and loose, the grass removed. Yet the edges were uneven, and the ground dry. Still more work ahead.

I really really really enjoy that, thank you so much for sharing! I love how descriptive you were, especially with the plants and the careful way he moved them, that is SO so in tune with the Alurizan way, you really captured it so well ;w;
