The Life of the Party

It was a late night at Harbor, most parts of the main city were illuminated by the lights of the street, and most of the inhabitants were either making their way home from a long day, or getting to work somewhere in the night. Though in the heart of the city, it was easy to find places to kick back, relax, or even just cut loose and party. In a corner of one of the busiest streets, a club was alight with the sound of muffled bass, and the equally muffled cheers of the crowd inside, almost as if the club itself were inviting you to come in and see what was going on inside.

Akira was doing her set in the area as usual, the lively beats filling up the room with energy and vigor, and there were plenty of Xeros hanging around dancing, recording, and relaxing with some food and drinks at the venue. It was Akira’s, known by all that night as Tetra, biggest set they had ever done. Normally they would do some lighter stuff for events and parties over at B’Haddu, but never before had someone from further away noticed her talent and brought her this far, though she did admit it was a nice change of pace to perform somewhere new.

As the night kept going on, she kept on mixing her best beats to the crowd and kept the hype up and going. She loved putting her all into being a dj, and besides her tagging and graffiti work in the shadows, this was her real passion. And it was all the more worth it to finally have some more recognition and even start to travel like this, since she mostly did her work locally. Her dream was finally starting to come true, as her talent was finally noticed by an owner of a club visiting from Harbor and quickly realizing what she could bring to the scene!

Earlier in the week, when she finally made it to the venue, Akira was even invited by the venue owner for a nice meal and even was given a nice place to stay! She was more or less used to having to arrange everything herself, even bringing some food, water, and a tent to camp out at the outskirts of town if she needed to, so the sudden hospitality really blew her away. She really started to feel like her time of living on the outskirts was coming to an end.

All of those thoughts kept rushing in as Akira kept on performing into the morning. She had wrapped up her set, and even performed a couple encores for the audience that night, and she made her way back to where she was staying for her visit to Harbor and made her way to get ready for bed. It had been a long night, and she was tired. As she put her head to rest, the memories of the set flooded her head, and she slowly closed her eyes with a smile on her face.
