Volans; A Brief Study

DAY 1

We arrived and got to work immediately. The Blight really has messed everything up, hasn't it?? Makes me feel bad for all the little critters that got caught in the middle of it :(
I'm very happy to be helping out here and I know we're going to do some reeeeally great work on it all but... poor things!!!

DAY 2

Awake and excited! We're going to get so much done today! Mostly induction and further explanations of teams, roles and tasks to be given out, but I still think there's going to be a lot that gets done. We'll wait and see!

DAY 5

Oops I forgot I was keeping a diary haha
These past few days have been hectic! Lots of surveying areas for the local wildlife, keeping count of how many we can see and cross-referencing it with the numbers of that critter's prey and predators. Not easy with my poor memory but it's going well! They.. definitely need our help. That's why we're here though! I got to take some sketches of one of the creatures we found. They've never really interacted with Xeros before so they were really friendly!! Jumped right over to us to investigate! I think they thought we were flowers though xD

DAY 6

More of the same stuff, except this time we got to help with replanting and rehabilitating injured critters we find. Hopefully I get to see more of those... uhm... I think they were called Volans? I should write that down somewhere. I'll be back with more when I think of it!
