[Survey] Meeting new friends

‘Hey Ikko!’ Fenrir waved at her as she walked into the Crimson Cove, ‘are you by any chance free today?’. Ikko tilted her head and looked at Fenrir ‘why?’. Fenrir quickly disappeared behind the entrance of his house and then reappeared with a big bag ‘me and a friend are going on a jungle trip and maybe you'd want to come, you know maybe you'll figure out if that's what you love to do in life!’. Ikko placed a paw on her neck and rubbed the fur between her fingers. It had been her new year's resolution, actually for multiple years already, to figure out what she was meant to do… but she didn't really expect to go on a sudden jungle expedition today. Fenrir noticed Ikko struggling with the decision ‘come on I already have enough stuff for two’ and he grabbed her by the paw, dragging her to the Torini train station. 

It was quite crowded in the train for the first two stops but after Harbor the train was basically empty. ‘Hey Fenrir, where does this friend of yours live?’ at first he didn't respond and he just stared out of the window but when Ikko asked a second time and subtlety kicked his leg with hers he looked up. ‘Oh yeah, I totally forgot to tell you about her!’ he pointed at a map ‘She lives in Zae’ka, there she owns her own animal sanctuary where she helps animals she finds or people bring to her and hopes to get them ready to live in the wild again’ Ikko nodded ‘today we're going to the jungles of Kiah to release a couple of Dyno Beebles that she rescued while the planned suffered from the Blight’. Ikko’s ears suddenly pointed straight up ‘Kiah! When you said jungle I thought you were talking about abortion, this is not a day trip Fenrir’. He shrugged and waved his paw ‘don’t worry it will be fun’.

‘This place is beautiful’ Ikko looked around the sanctuary, noticing some animals in the bushes hiding from them and seeing some plants she'd never seen before. ‘Thank you! It's my pride and joy’ an orange spotted savannah xero popped out from behind a tree. ‘The name is Bast, you must be Ikko, Fenrir told me you'd be joining us’. Bast stook out a paw and Ikko carefully shook it looking at the Xero that stoot before her. 

The three of them hopped on the next ship towards Kiah to release the Beebles and Ikko and Bast talked about their life, the entire road learning more and more about each other. Ikko told Bast about how she struggled with figuring out her life's purpose and Bast talked about how she figured out hers when she met a wounded young Nuiian Teropita while she was volunteering at Arc. She nursed the little guy back to health and from that moment she just knew she wanted to be a zoologist. Ikko smiled, ‘it’s a bit weird but it's been my new year's resolution for several years now to find my thing’. ‘Can’t say you aren't trying’ Fenrir joked and started summing up a long list of things Ikko had tried. Ikko awkwardly moved her paw up and down her arm when she felt another arm wrap around her shoulder, ‘no worries, you'll find there's so many things left to explore!’ Bast smiled and looked in her eyes.
