With plastics I always try to choose for an alternative, if that is not an option I'll make sure to put it in the right recycling bags.
In the Netherlands there are many efforts made to reduce plastic in general, in many take away places you can bring your own container, pay extra for the plastic containers even if its cardboard with plastic lining or choose a returnable option with a kind off deposit system. In supermarkets you also pay extra on one use, single quick meals/snacks in plastic packaging.
