(soda)cans and plastic bottles are recycled seperate here, you turn them in at a machine at a store and get a few cents back, kinda like a deposit.
I prefer to use soda cans instead of bottles because for me its less wasteful. I live alone (partially and have my own fridge with my own drink/food etc stuff) so I'm never able to empty a bottle before the bubbles disappear. With cans I dont have to trow away any old soda. Aluminium is also better since it can be recycled and reused many times.
