The Heist

[Abandoned warehouse, planet: Unknown]

“Oh uh are you also here because of the text message?” A big Xero with a mechanical arm walked in and looked around the room. Ryker looked up from where he was seated, “Yeah something about a heist and some good profid” the big Xero nodded and walked to the center of the room “so what’s it all about, who messaged me!”. A projection suddenly popped up 2 neon blue X’s flickered on the screen and a few seconds later a Xero appeared “great I see that you all got my invitation, I have a challenge for you that could earn each of us some nice shiny coins” She waved her hand and some other holograms showed up “this little statue you see here is worth quite a lot on the black market and we’re gonna steal it”. They looked at each other in silence, “what about this map?” Cedar pointed at a map projected onto a table “is this where the statue is located?”. The map started moving and showed a 3D model of the room with a pedestal in the center, Nyx started explaining the plan. 

[Targetted Bank, planet: Unknown]

Cedar stepped out of the van and walked inside the bank “let’s do this”. He walked to the service desk and asked about the deposit box Nyx told him about. The girl behind the counter started looking at her computer and then at Cedar, he felt the nerves but then she got up “follow me please”. A soft sigh left his mouth and they walked to the dna scanner. Nyx had told him about this and he looked at one of the camera’s hoping nothing would go wrong, this sensor would reset itself every minute to prevent fraud so it had to be hacked right now. 

“Hello, can anybody help me!” a giant creature walked in, it was one of Rykers crew mates tasked to cause a distraction so that cedar could safely get into the vault. The girl looked away while another employee ran toward the giant. Click the dna scan was successful and the door opened, Cedar walked in. “Okay Ryker it’s your turn are you ready for this?” Ryker had been waiting in one of the ventilation shafts, just above the vault, “you have 42 seconds to get that statue and go back up”. Ryker took a deep breath and entered the room.

“Come sir we’re almost at the vault please keep walking” Cedar tried to stall and give Ryker as much time as possible but this girl knew the protocol and wouldn’t stop for anything. Please hurry, Cedar thought while they approached the big vault doors.

Ryker could hear the code being entered and started to panic. He lifted the glass case of the little thing, the heavy door started to open while he quickly placed the glass on the floor and grabbed the statue while pressing the up button on his harness. “come on, come on hurry” the door opened, Cedar saw him hanging there and tried to distract the girl without luck and when she looked at Ryker he managed to pose in a way that can only be described as ‘one of the french girls’ “hey” he said looking at the girl in the opening. She looked at him and stayed quiet for a few seconds and slammed the alarm button.

“Plan B, Plan B, Lelu get ready to get them out now!!!” Nyx yelled while mashing keys on a keyboard to turn off the cameras and open the doors. Lelu quickly jumped out of the van and ran towards the bank. He quickly made his way towards Ryker and Cedar while Nyx kept everything unlocked. Lelu pulled Ryker down and took the statue “Run!”. They all started running to the exit, Lelu in front ready to push over all the guards followed by Cedar and Ryker. “Hurry get in the van!” Nyx yelled from behind the wheel “Time to go”. With the three Xeros in the van Nyx started to drive as fast as possible to get away and towards Rykers ship. The crew was ready to go and as soon as they ditched the van and got in they flew away.

[Black Market, Planet: Owai-6]

“Nyx, nice to see you I didn’t expect you to succeed” Micka greeted the group of Xeros, “ha ha very funny, Lelu can you please give her the statue” The big Xero handed Micka the statue and she inspected it closely “very nice, the buyer will be very happy with it”. She put away the Statue “and here is everyone's cut, thanks again for setting this up Nyx, nice doing business with you”. The group all looked satisfied in the pouches Micka gave them and left one by one, each in a different direction to never speak about this again.
