A passport is provided to every Alurizan citizen and becomes an essential part of life in the AREZ. As the concept of borders is archaic by the standards of a multi-cultural space-faring republic, there needed to be a way to ensure safety of travel for its members; this comes in the form of the AREZ Passport.
The ability to travel vast distances to other planets presents many challenges to a healthy society, and so each passport contains the owner's medical data. In case of emergency or communicable disease, this information becomes a vital database accessible wherever the traveler goes.
In addition, the passports are highly customizable, allowing the owner to keep their travel information, such as any event tokens and tickets handy. It also makes it easy to send your contact information to any travelers you might encounter that you want to keep in touch with. It's your all-in-one travel companion!

INFORMATION
Register your Xero by filling out a Passport for them! A Passport is a required key item to participate in certain future activities with your Xero.

This prompt focuses on helping you develop your Xero a bit more. What is their name? What pronouns do they use? Will you use the date they were uploaded to the Masterlist as their birthday, or pick something custom? And finally, where do they live?

When submitting your entry for this prompt, please upload your piece to our Passport Gallery here! Art & writing uploaded to the Project Xero gallery also earns 1 Prestige.

Instructions
The template for the Passport can be found HERE. There is a layered PSD and a flattened image available for your use! If you'd like to match the font, this is the font used, but feel free to use any font.
Please only add the Marine Expedition stamp to your passport if you participated in this event!

Fill out your character's information on the passport and add a "photo" of them.
1. The ID # should be your Xero's Masterlist number. (Ex: Ziggy is X-025)
2. Add your Xero's name. You can name them whatever you want!
3. Add your Xero's pronouns.
4. Add your Xero's birthdate. You can use the date they were uploaded to the Masterlist, or make up a date that suits them!
5. Finally, pick an area of residence for them. Check out our LORE page for a few canon ideas of where your Xero could live, or feel free to make up your own location off-planet! They can live anywhere!

Greetings! By now I assume many of you have seen the ARC bulletin, so I figured I’d give a bit of an explanation. Part of my job here with the XERO project involves maintaining active data collection about subjects such as…well, you!

As you know, the project has evolved significantly from our initial scope. As such, one of our goals is to ensure that everyone is fitting in well and adapting to life in the Aluriza Reserve. We also are collecting any feedback you may have regarding your experiences! Such information is extremely helpful, as it allows us to view our culture from an outside perspective and see where we can adapt and grow. Your feedback also helps us with the process of introducing newly-created Xeros to their new life, so that they’ll settle in smoothly. Our goal is to ensure that each and every Xero can find a place to thrive in AREZ. It’s important to make sure your needs as a species are met—especially as your numbers grow!

However, I don’t want this process to become an inconvenience—I've seen how busy some of you can be!—so we'll keep the surveys to a monthly release. OH—and yes, for each successful response, we’ll give you access to the Lab ADC, where we keep various supplies involved in our experiments. Some of the stuff in there might be pretty hard to find elsewhere!

Anyways, thanks in advance for your time. I can’t wait to see what you guys have been up to!

Dr. Naes

ARC Survey: 004

ARC Survey: 004
Greetings Xeros! I hope you are all having a good time with your (mostly) bipedal experience! Our logistics team will be happy to know exactly how many more shoes they need to order for new hatchlings, they go through them so fast…

Anyway, back to the topic at hand, and this time we have our Psychology department to thank for this question! Your biology is remarkably adaptable, able to respond to and utilize local environmental conditions. But as much as we understand this process on a physical level, we do not know how it feels to be capable of such drastic physical change. While there are many introspective questions that arise from this, let's start with a simple one: if you could remove or add any mutation to yourself, what would it be and why?

INFORMATION
Due to genetic engineering, Xeros can display a wide range of different mutations. They can even change these mutations at will: by eating tailor-made plants from the ARC Greenhouse, they are able to trigger their unique physiology to change in a controlled manner. This allows certain new traits to appear on any Xero. Does your Xero wish they could change any of their current mutations? Maybe they think they would look cooler with horns, or maybe they wish they could get rid of their heavy, hot Tundra Fur during the summer months! Any answer is valid, but what does your Xero think?

Draw your Xero with the traits they wish they could have, this could be removing traits they don't like, or adding traits they think would look cool. You can do this from the perspective of traits you as the owner want, or it could be from the Xero's perspective! If you are writing a story, you could write about a situation where one of their traits is causing an inconvenience or a different trait could have come in handy. You can find all of the current available traits HERE!

When submitting your entry for this prompt, please upload your piece to our Survey Gallery here! Art & writing uploaded to the Project Xero gallery also earns 1 Prestige.

Don't have your own Xero yet? You can draw or write about Ziggy, our mascot! You can read all about him on his profile. You may also ask permission to use another member's Xero in our Discord. However, if you do already own a Xero, you must use your own Xero and may not use Ziggy or another user's Xero.

Document your recycling vs. your garbage, and write about choices you’ve made in your life to reduce your single-use plastic waste or what steps you are taking in your community’s green initiative. Examples include choosing to fill a reusable bottle from the tap instead of bottled water, bringing a reusable produce bag to the store, and purchasing items packaged with less plastic. We know not all of these options are available to everyone, so you may also write about what you are trying to do for the future.

Animals and plants must be wild, you cannot use domestic animals such as dogs, cats, and livestock, or farm crops and other home-grown plants.

★ After your expedition, research the flora & fauna you photographed and do your best to correctly identify each one. Write its common name and scientific name, and one fact about it.

You may compile your photos & info into a collage (example above) - or you can upload them all to a folder, and write the information in the comments section of the prompt when submitting it! [CLICK HERE FOR AN EXAMPLE!]

BONUS: While you can do this prompt just with photos and writing, if you decide to also sketch the plants and animals, you will earn 10 bonus Prestige, for a total of 30! Your sketches must be included with your Prompt submission.

INFORMATION
Participate in a "real life" research expedition! Write about a local invasive or endemic species (plants or animals, including insects!) and talk about their importance or danger to the biodiversity of the place you live. If writing about an invasive species, talk about what you can do to help. If writing about an endemic species, talk about what measures are being taken to protect them. You can add links to charities and accredited wildlife rehabilitation centers if you feel so inclined.

If you cannot take a photo of the species you’re writing about, use an image from a library book, or website. Make sure to source your work!

BONUS: While you can do this prompt just with photos and writing, if you decide to also draw the species you will earn 10 bonus Prestige, for a total of 30!

REQUIREMENTS
To receive rewards you must:

Document one local invasive / endemic species in your community.

Select at least 5 photos of the chosen species, and write 500 words minimum. Source your photos and information, and provide links. You do not need to write ALA/MLA format, just source links at the bottom of the document are fine!

Animals and plants must be wild, you cannot use livestock, domesticated pets, or home-grown plants for this prompt. (If writing about invasives, stray animals are fine.)

★ You may compile your photos & writing into a Google Document, or you can submit the writing directly into the prompt 'Comment' box and include links to the photos.

BONUS: While you can do this prompt just with photos and writing, if you decide to also draw the species, you will earn 10 bonus Prestige, for a total of 30! Your drawing must be included with your Prompt submission.

Xero Resale INFORMATION
This is where you go to get your Xero's worth updated; either for bookkeeping or in preparation for selling your character! Once this prompt is filled out and approved, we will update your Xero's sale value on the site! You may then sell that Xero for the approved price!

Xeros cannot be sold above their listed sale value on the Masterlist, unless sold for a 'Proposed Value' through our Discord. See the pinned post in our #xero-marketplace channel for more information!

★ Gift art/trade art/personal art DOES NOT COUNT towards your Xero's sale value! Please do not submit art that you did not pay for. If there are pieces by a previous owner that have not been put in a value update before, please contact them to receive the proof of purchase to add them to your value update.

WHAT YOU NEED
All the new PAID art/writing/etc. that has not yet been accounted for in the Xero’s value
Receipts for each submitted piece of art (PayPal screenshots or DMs confirming payment, etc.)
A ToyHouse hosting for the Xero & art being submitted is preferred. If this is not possible, please keep your images saved on a dedicated hosting website like Sta.sh, imgur, dropbox, etc., for our own organizational purposes!

If you do not have a ToyHouse account but would like to make one, feel free to ask for an invite in our Discord
