Lingua Mortem, Death's Tongue and Semper Esuriit, The Ever Hungry
Lingua Mortem
Habitat
Lingua Mortem are a deep sea parasite, taking home in a small cavern within the Semper Esuriit's trap. It does not trigger the microscopic hairs, and has a thick film that the digestive system cannot eat through.
Appearance and Anatomy
Lingua Mortem are 30cm long, have a short sail, and ribbonlike tail that adorns the ebony body. Its evolution has all but gotten rid of the eyes, however it has a set of bony protrusions exiting the sockets.
The ribbon tail is bioluminescent, wiggling and shifting colors as the electrical current of the body triggers the change. Their jaws are set with guillotine teeth, sharp and having a jaw strength of over 16 thousand newtons. They have no gender differences.
Diet and Behavior
LM are extremely patient ambush predators, strictly carnivorous, taking root within the small cavern deep within the host's mouth, leading prey to the host before they are held in place and beheaded by the strong jawed creature.
Domestication Status
Unable to be domesticated.
Semper Esuriit
Habitat
Semper Esuriit are deep sea plantlife, thriving with the higher pressure and colder water.
Appearance and Anatomy
Semper Esuriit are 2.5m tall five 'petaled' trap with a cavern in the center. They have a large trunk with 'stair' leaves running up the trunk. Range in color, from dark greens and browns to black and blue, but they each have a series of dark red stripes and/or spots that adorn the petals make each SE unique.
Diet and Behavior
SE are carnivorous plants that require their parasite to attract the prey. The microscopic hairs are triggered by the movement of the water, grasping hold of the prey where the parasite takes its fill before the rest gets dissolved by the ever hungry.
Domestication Status
DO NOT ATTEMPT DOMESTICATION.
