[Survey] Starlet’s Sonnet

It's been two months since Spruce's departure. He volunteered to assist the ARC on a mission to another planet. When he signed up, they didn't know the exact departure date, so Spruce's absence was sudden to him and his friends, especially Starlet. Spruce left Camilo in charge of the house and set some rules. He had to get ready fast and swift, that he barely had time to say goodbye. So, he called them by phone and went to visit one Xero in Torini because that's where he's supposed to meet the ARC team. Spruce told Starlet that he had to leave immediately, but he wanted to see her. If they had known the date, they would've spent more time together. Starlet was upset to see him go so suddenly. Spruce also said the planet they're going to has no signal, so they couldn't call each other for two months. He told her to send letters to him. After thirty minutes of cuddling, it was time for him to go. It was difficult for both of them, but Spruce knew Starlet would be strong.

All month Starlet struggled on writing a letter. It never sounded right nor did it sound like her. She barely got sleep after writing in her notebook, then ripping paper and throwing it away. She asked Violet for advice and told her to take a break and go to her happy place. Maybe something out there will give her inspiration. So, she did.

My Dearest Spruce,

Another day on the beach

As usual everyday.

Seashells had one spiral each

I thought of the time you went away,

When I saw one shell, the hue was green.

It reminded me of that fateful day

It reminded me of you, Spruce Evergreen.

I brought the seashell home

Holding it tightly,

The act was silly as I write this poem,

But I do not take this longing feeling lightly.

Do you know how much I miss you, my love?

I miss hearing you,

Your deep, soothing voice mean so much to me.

I miss seeing you,

Your tall silhouette and pretty brown eyes, I wish to once again see.

I miss touching you,

Your soft fur with your big strong arms sparks flames within me.

These thoughts all started with this seashell

It will be the prominent among my collection.

I hope this poem finds you well,

For you are my inspiration, my love.

Now you know how much I miss you

I'm eager for you to come back

I will have many plans for us to do

Your love and aura is something I lack

For now, I have a seashell to keep clean

A shell that reminds me of you,

As I await your return, Spruce Evergreen.

Your love,

Coral

Today is the day Spruce comes back. Starlet is waiting impatiently as she stands near the docks where they shared their first kiss. The ship arrives, lands in the ocean, then floats to the docks. Starlet is shaking and her heart beating fast. When she saw the familiar green fur, tall silhouette, and brown eyes walking across the dock, she runs towards him. Nearly knocking Spruce over, she kisses him all over his face. Starlet is tearing up while saying 'I missed you' and 'I love you' repeatedly and clinging onto him. Spruce laughs as she kisses him until she finally stops. He carries her away from the docks, away from the beach so he can give her a long, hungry, passionate kiss...alone. Starlet hears his moans, sees his expression, and feels his big strong arms rubbing up and down her back. There are so many things she senses at the moment. After the kiss, Spruce, out of breath, asks her if he can see the seashell for himself. She assumes he must've received her poem.
