[Survey] Frog's Letter to Sticky

               At this quiet time of winter, Frog sat in his chair alone, enjoying the soft light of the candles around him. As much as he loved the quiet comfort of his home, he would oftentimes feel lonely. As he leaned back into his armchair he thought of his friend Sticky, who was likely on another expedition far away. Frog didn’t have many close friends, especially not any like Sticky, who he had deeper feelings of affection for. On this particular quiet day, his thoughts of his friend inclined him to search for a stack of paper and pen. After all, isn’t this the perfect kind of time to write a letter? He tapped his pen on his chin, trying to think of a way to open the letter that would make Sticky smile. He opted to draw a smiley face.

               Hi Sticky!😊

I hope you are well, I am thinking of you often while you are away. I hope you come back soon so we can knit and bake together again. I found this cool bug in my garden yesterday- it had huge mandibles and iridescent wings! What do you think it is? Hopefully we can find another one when you get back.

               Frog worried he was sounding too needy. Was it too much to mention visiting so much? Would Sticky feel he was being too pushy? He started to blush and thumped his head into his arms on the desk. Writing letters to a crush is hard. He started doodling the bug he mentioned on the paper. He tapped the pen on his desk. He was struggling to continue the letter now. He was too worried about what Sticky would think. As his anxiety welled up inside him, he decided that maybe a short letter would be better than no letter at all, and ended it simply with-

               I wish you best on your expedition, talk to you soon!

He looked at the heart he added and cringed, he quickly shoved it in an envelope and put it in his mailbox, heart thumping. It was too late now, time to commit to his decision. He blushed all the way back to his chair and sat down with a sigh. Hopefully, he thought, Sticky was thinking of him too.
