Tara’s Mystical Machine

In the amazing crowds of Harbor, the afternoon hustle and bustle of people filled the air with excitement and the usual diligent shopkeepers were showing their wares to the public who were equally excited to see the things Harbor had to offer. Despite the crowds filling the streets even more today, there were little tables where Xeros were talking among each other. They were laughing, sharing food and drinks with each other, and having little performances in the middle of the ring of tables.

In the outer ring of the tables and in the shade of a building, a Xero was tinkering with something on his own. He was more focused on what he was doing than the activity of the crowds, but he was still keeping an ear or two out on the plaza and passing conversation. Tara had been working on a gadget he had found abandoned for the past couple of days, which he had found when he was taking a walk for inspiration. He still had no idea what it could exactly do, but he had been working hard on it for the past couple of days.

The device almost looked like a kind of communication device, though it wasn’t something really common to most Xeros, but it for sure looked like something that could give Tara some more information about the world at large, and maybe even knowledge about different and stranger kinds of technology. Such thoughts were swirling about in his head as he continued to tinker. The bustle of the crowds started to become drowned out as all of Tara’s focus began to go into the machine.

A couple hours had passed, the tables around mostly just had a couple of Xero friend groups chatting among each other and the crowds began to die down a bit in the shopping district as the evening sun shone its orange light onto Tara. He had made steady progress, and it looked like he only needed a few more hours until he could get the device fully up and running. As it looked more complete, it almost looked like some of the tech used for some kind of record keeping, though he did not know for sure yet. All he knew was he needed to get the device operational more than ever, since the curiosity of what information the device had was starting to really pique his interest.

Even more time had passed, and it was now nighttime. The tables and streets were practically empty at this point, and Tara had a little light out so he could see what he was doing. Still working on the machine, he had made a couple more adjustments until suddenly, the machine turned on! Tara practically jumped out of his seat when it came out, he couldn’t believe it! As he looked through the contents displayed, he found information on boolews! Patting Tox-en, who had been on his shoulder all this time, Tara was sure he would find all sorts of helpful information for his little friend.
