Show and Tell

Today for show and tell, I wanted to show two beebles I saw yesterday!

They were two different colors - one was green, and the other one almost looked like gold! They were playing together by butting their horns against each other. I knew it was playing instead of fighting because they kept chirping at each other after, sorta like they were laughing!

I wanted to catch and bring them today to show everyone, but a scientist who was also looking at them told me that it wouldn’t be good to take them out of their natural environment. So I drew them to show instead!

I also asked the scientist about how they find food, and they said that they scuttle around to find leaves and other dirt and stuff on the forest floor! They said that this is a good reason not to litter, because sometimes beebles accidentally think that trash is food. They can get really sick by doing that.

Oh, and I also saw the little moss manes they had - they were so cool! Their shells were shiny, but the moss also looked really shiny too, especially in the light! I wondered if it was photosynthesizing there. I think it’s really cool that they can help camouflage them - even though I could tell a beeble from the forest floor, I bet that other animals would have a hard time!

I hope you all liked my drawing! I hope that someday I can have a beeble as a pet.
