[Survey] Seeking water

It was still early in the morning but the sun was already burning and the heat had seeped into Cronus bedroom. One of his ears twitched as he moved to lay on his back 'Ugh dumb tail' he groaned still half asleep. He rubbed his eyes and looked at one of the clocks on his wall 'but I wanted to sleep in today'. He rolled over again and a loud thud followed, he tried to fall back asleep. The floor was colder than his bed, but definitely not as comfortable. 

Maybe 30 minutes later he decided it was time to get up, 'maybe there's ice-cream in the fridge'. He dragged his paws across the floor walking on all fours. 'Nope all out I guess', he looked around the room 'why don't I have any fans?'. He scratched one of his ears and fiddled with his earring. 'Oh that's right, I used them for a hat and matching home decoration last winter!' He hit his head with his paw a few times while repeatedly calling himself stupid or other synonyms of the word.

The loud banging of a clock ripped him out of his ritm and he started to think 'where does one go to cool off during the hot weather'. He walked around the room moving his tail around and fidgeting with a pocket watch, 'the pool that's it!' he looked outside, 'but that's probably where everyone is going, same with the ocean'. He started to bramble again thinking about where else he could find water when suddenly 'that's it!'. He grabbed his bag and hat and ran to the train station 'to Zae'ka!'.

'Cronus?!' he looked towards the sound 'what in the world are you doing here, this lake is not for you it's for the animals!'. It was Bast, a friend Cronus met during one of his weird travels, he had remembered she owned an animal sanctuary in Zae'ka and that there was this big lake there. 'Aw come on Bast, I'm not bothering anyone' he pointed at a little sea critter using him as a raft, 'see they like me'. She blinked a few times and took a deep breath 'Cronus, out now!' He made a funky expression and swam towards the shore. She looked at him and shook her head 'You could have at least asked first, maybe I would have let you swim in it then'. His eyes widened 'so I can go back' he said with his paws already back in 'no no no! If you asked, but you didn't' he looked disappointed 'I'm sorry Cronus'. Bast looked at the dripping Xero 'don't you know any other people with access to water or something, maybe even just a kiddy pool?' he scratched his ear again and poked his paw on a needle. 'That's it!' he suddenly yelled again and he ran away waving Bast goodbye.

Fenrir walked to his phone, it had rang several times already but he was enjoying the water in the Cove and didn't want to get his place wet. 

'Hello who's this?' 

'Fenrir, buddy!'

'Oh Cronus, you okay?'

'Can I come swim in the Crimson Cove?'

It stayed quiet on the other side of the line

'I take your silence as consent, thanks friend!'

He hung up the line and looked out the train window 'almost at Torini already, I knew he'd say yes'.
