[Survey] ARC Survey 015
The computer started zooming and Set stretched his back and cracked his paws, 'another video rendering and almost ready to put online'. He looked at the time in the corner of the screen, it was getting late. *Tududum* a notification popped up in the corner:
ARC - ARC Survey 015
Reminder this is your last change to submit your answer for ARC Survey 015!
Set shrugged, 'well I have some time left and since I'm on the computer anyway'. He clicked on the notification and started reading the question. 'What would I bring to a deserted Island… good question' he rumbled in his desk drawer. Empty Extero Energy can, batteries, halloween toys… 'Well I guess a multitool knife would be useful, but it feels like such an obvious answer' he spun around on the desk chair 'plus there are so many options to make your own tools from stuff you can find'. He opened his internet browser and looked at making tools from random stuff.
*Tududum* a notification from the rendering program, the video was ready. But he clicked the little cross to close the notification and the ARC message showed up again. 'Oh right, I was thinking about an answer'. Set had this habit of getting distracted when on his computer, just deep diving into random subjects for the weirdest reasons. 'What would I bring though, I guess my hood doesn't count like I'm wearing that already'. The time ticked by while Set was spinning around thinking about a good answer and he slowly started dozing off.
'What in the world' Set looked around 'how did I get here?' He was standing on a beach and all he could see around him was the ocean and palm trees. On his back was a backpack with food and water but that's it, no further explanation of how he got here. He walked around for a bit hoping to find out where he was when he stumbled on a cave at the edge of the water. 'Let's see what's in here' there were some old fishing nets stuck in the entrance with some slightly rotten pieces of wood in it, but nothing he could use.
At first the cave got smaller and smaller and Set had to squeeze himself through a few cracks to get in deeper but after a while the cave suddenly started to widen again and there was a small layer of water at the bottom of it. 'This place is absolutely huge!' an echo sounded around the place, huge uge uge. He kept walking for a bit longer when he noticed the cave opened up even more and he was standing in a big open space with an old decayed ship in the middle of it. 'Damn I wish I had my camera with me', his voice echoed me e e.
He moved closer to the ship, the water at this poin got from knee deep to about hip deep but it was clear enough to see where he was walking. Suddenly he rubbed his paws in his eyes 'no way that was real, there is no wind in here'. He stopped moving and started staring at the sails, nothing. 'Must have been imagining it then', he shrugged and continued wading through the water.
A splash echoed through the big opening, Set looked around but couldn't see any lines in the water. Slowly his ears moved around trying to listen for more sounds, a gust of wind? No it wasn't that it was just the sound of wind… the sails of the ship swayed. 'Hello?' no echo at all, the hairs in Set's neck stood up and he started to rumble in his pouch for the spirit box he always carried around, nothing. 'Are you a ghost?'... it stayed quiet for a bit but then a loud bang echoed through the room.
*Tududum* Set suddenly woke up and saw a new message from his rendering program. 'That's it!' He opened the ARC Survey and started typing, he would bring his camera and ghost hunting devices to find out if there is any paranormal activity on this deserted island.
After finishing a new video, Set notices a message from ARC. While trying to answer the question he experiences some interesting things that help him find the right answer for him.
