[Survey] Arc Survey 020

Aru tiredly rubbed their eyes before distractedly adjusting their glasses. They had been looking at the sheets of paper on the table in front of them for a while now, unknowingly creasing the papers whenever they gripped them too tightly between their fingers. The previously perfectly straightened sheets contained the first draft of their book. It was a book that Aru had been working on during their free time for close to two years now, and they decided to make it their goal to finally finish it this year. It had been a long process, only being able to write in between their work breaks on notebooks since the xero didn’t want to bring their laptop to work, and they weren't able to bring out their phone unless they were on a break. Aru worked in a coffee shop, so it was also a hazard to bring stuff out when the possibility of accidents and spills when dealing with drinks was so high.

Aru let out a sigh and got a hold of their first draft, which had been finished and printed not so long ago, and a couple of markers along with some post it notes. They wanted to give it a thorough read through for spelling mistakes, along with making sure that the timeline was just right and then also making sure not to leave any loose ends by accident. It was going to be a lot of work, Aru knew that from the moment they started figuring out the events within the timeline for the book, but they didn’t know it would take them so long to finish just that. After finishing the first read through, they wanted to give it another couple more to make sure it was easy to read and they didn’t ramble off by accident, and then check if their friends, Avril and Neptune, wanted to give the book a chance and what they both thought about the world Aru had poured so much love into once they finished reading it. The colorful xero wanted the feedback to be honest, wanting Avril and Neptune’s opinions to be exactly what they thought and felt while going through something Aru loved so much already.

It might take a while though, probably the rest of the year before they were anywhere near ready for the possibility of getting their book published, either online or on paper, but Aru was completely ready to put in the effort necessary to see their dream finally come true. 

For the meanwhile though, the purple haired xero was completely ready for a long nap after the sleepless night they got through to finish part of their workload. They grabbed the sheets of paper that made up the draft and put them in order within a black folder covered in stickers. They then placed the folder in the drawer next to their chair before covering up a big yawn with their paw, grabbing their glass of water, and heading towards their bedroom. Where they would end up dreaming about letters and books following them around like something out of Alice in Wonderland.9
