[Survey] Charby's Chosen Trait

The recording device whirs on, capturing the sound of its own mechanisms echoing in the small room; interrupted only by the shifting of the imposing and intimidating xero sitting in front of it, clicking his claws on the metal desk and swishing his thick tail against his chair's legs. His name is Charybdis and he seems as relaxed as can be as he chuckles softly, stroking at his chin lost in thought for a moment, pondering the question poised by the survey he’s elected to respond to.

“Huh,” He grumbles, “S’a good question, If i could add a trait to meself…..”

Four eyes blink one by one, an almost mesmerizing out of sync pattern.

 “See, i got so many already i just ain’t sure what i’d pick..”

Charybdis leans back, the chair tilting until solely its back legs make contact with the ground as he sweeps his paws up onto the table, sunlight gleaming off his claws and the glitter present in his diaphonized skin. His snout opens with a long drawn out yawn, forked tongue lolling out and sharp fangs bared proudly; jaws snapping shut with a mighty thud as he scratches at his chest and stares around the room. He is not a man in any sort of rush, he’s enjoying taking life at his own pace; somehow maintaining an air of menace without doing anything in particular to cause it, be it a warranted air or not.

“Well I suppose I could pick extra limbs couldn’t i? Get meself a lil helping hand or two, haha.” He muses, low voice rumbling in his throat.

 “Be pretty useful all things considered bein’ able to lift twice as much, be twice as strong; not that I need much help with strength mind you. Then how’s about glow? Yeah, that’s pretty cool- I mean just picture these bad boys all lit up at night, I could scare the life outta folks!

He gestures to his black, featureless hollow eyes with a wicked grin.

“Nah, nah that’d be fun at all but me? I think i’m thinkin’ bigger- literally. ‘Cuz you know who I envy the most? Them Tundra types that’s who! Wouldn’t want to live in their natural habitat mind- y’don’t enjoy the cold when yer partially hairless- but….that height…yeah, that’s what i’d pick.”

Charybdis rises out of his chair and stretches, standing as tall as he can and puffing his chest out; casting a looming silhouette as the sun beams in from the window behind him.

 “Yeah, see i ain’t a short guy anyways but i still wouldn’t turn down the opportunity of a lil’ bit more height! Get me way up there, eye to eye with the tallest of ‘em; I reckon I'd like that. People step out the way of ol’ Charby already, folks find me….ah, intimidatin’ to say the least; but if i was just a little taller?” 

 He sucks air past his fangs and nods his head, lost in his imagination a moment.

 “Yeah, yeah that’d be the life! So yeah; that’s what I pick, that counts enough as an extra trait right? Big and tall like a Tundra, gimme that extra height if I'm gettin’ to pick. If ya handed me a Tundra beaker tomorrow i’d be chugging it down before ya could tell me that ya aint….supposed to use 'em that way, heh.”

He rises onto his tip toes, wanders about the room a moment in a pantomime of size; like something out of a kaiju movie, enough so that it’d surely make anyone wonder if he knew he’d still only be averaging out at around five feet tall if he were a Tundra xero, not towering over buildings. Who would correct him even if they could though.
He goes on like this for some time, murmuring roars and growls to himself, pulling faces; playing around till he bursts into laughter and doubles over for a moment, tail wagging happily.

“Ah i crack meself up, aaaaaanyway…”
He straightens back up, wipes a tear of laughter from his eyes and wanders over to the recording device.

 “Hope that helps answer the question, Doc. It’s been fun takin’ some time out the day to think about my answer, i should do this more often. Be seein’ ya.”

A green claw clicks the devices power button off, and all falls silent once more.
