[Survey] Wishes granted

Valo had done it. She'd been scouted by a company for a new role as software developer. Her former boss had even set her up with an interview. The pay was great, enough to fix her dilapated house and still have money for food. It was a nonprofit too, and she finally felt like she would begin working on something meaningful.

She sent in her letter of resignation. It was harrowing, but all of her coworkers gave her well wishes. She'd miss them, and they'd miss her, but this opportunity was something she couldn't let pass her by. Her boss hadn't been the kindest either, and she had wished for a new place to work at for so long now.

She sat, looking at the signed letter. She wished the coming year would be full of new opportunities like the last had been.
