Gin is quite an anxious and reserved Xero, and prefers the quiet of tending to their various plants to costumes and celebration. However, they are still inspired by the tenacity and culture of their anscestors past, and lantern fruit carving allows them to spend time independently honouring them. While they may find large gatherings overwhelming, they are always willing to lend a paw to those who were not able to grow a large enough Lantern Fruit themselves for a mask, or are unable to carve their own regardless of the reason.

The traditional design of the koronok is important to them as it signifies life; Gin has struggled with their health in the past, and this style reminds them that the life they have been given is a celebration and should be lived to the absolute fullest. Their choices to be somewhat distant have always been met with understanding, and the support Gin feels toward their community, especially during the Twilight Carnival, is something they cherish. As such, each year Twilight Carnival rolls around, Gin tries their best to engage as much as they can, and seems to venture out a little more to engage with the other Alurizans that share the planet they call home.
