This is my recycling pile! Outside of recycling, I also do my best to avoid fast fashion and hyper-commercialism to protect the environment. Places like Shien and Amazon do a lot of damage to the earth by promoting low-quality and cheap goods that will have to be replaced on a regular basis; not to mention all the pollution caused by the transportation of these goods and the abuse that employees under these companies face. I do my best to avoid these companies as much as possible by repairing the things I do have over buying new stuff. Just this week, I sewed up a torn throw pillow and used old pillows as scrap fluff for some nicer pillows that needed some extra cushioning!
