This is a bag full of grocery bags! Although I already reuse grocery bags as trash bags, I often gain wayyyyyy more bags than I could possibly use. Thankfully, my local grocery store has a plastic bag recycling program! Every now and then, I grab all my old bags and take them to the store for recycling.
As for another thing I do to help the environment, I make my own laundry soap! It mostly consists of baking soda, washing soda, and salt, but it works nicely, it's cheaper, and it's much better for the environment. Many modern-day laundry detergents have petroleum, sulfates, and harsh fragrances that can damage clothes, irritate skin, and pollute the water. By making my own soap, I can better protect my clothes and prevent harsh chemicals from getting into our water.
