Hello! This is my entry for the Leaf Pressing Prompt! I chose the Microwave Method for this and to be honest, it could have gone better 😂
I picked the leaves from plants in my garden (as fresher plants were recommended for this method) of which they were completely healthy or getting ready for winter anyway! I could not tell you the names of each plant, though the pink flower me and my mother refer to as 'ballerinas! I put these all between a pile of 4 thick, heavy books for 5 days, made sure they weren't decomposing and when everything looked well I dampened some kitchen roll, put the plants in and microwaved them for about 50 seconds. After they cooled down I used an acrylic sealant spray to protect the plants! I wasn't super confident with leaf pressing but perhaps that just means I should try a different method in the future!
