[Survey] A Mushroom?

As a hatchling, Merlin was taken in by 2 famous chefs whom he loved very dearly. They wanted him to grow up and be part of the business, but his heart was just never in the kitchen. While crawling around his parent's restaurant he came across an item he carries with him to this day, a wooden "mushroom"! Back then when he found it he knew he wanted to dedicate his life to the study of mushrooms! Now, he knows this mushroom was nothing but a champagne cork that found its way under a table, but it doesn't make it mean any less to him.
