Traits

Long Limbs

Long Limbs (Savannah)

Species: Xero (Savannah subtype)

This subspecies-exclusive trait allows a Savannah Xero to run faster than their non-savannah cousins and see over tall grass. While a Standard Xero would have stockier limbs that form rounded hands and paws, a Savannah Xero has longer skinnier limbs that taper near the ends to form a digitigrade look while they are standing up.

A note on stylization

There may be some existing Xeros on the ML with longer or stylized digitigrade legs before this subtype was revealed. This could be due to many factors, as all artists draw Xeros differently. Existing Xeros with stylized or inaccurate Xero limbs will not be upgraded with the Long Limbs trait as they simply now have inaccurate Masterlist Art. However, we will not make anyone change their art if it is already on the Masterlist, not to worry! If you wish to have this sort of look for your Xero's limbs, saving up for a Savannah Beaker is the way forward!

This trait is exclusive to the Savannah subspecies, all Savannah Xeros have this trait.

This trait can only be added to a non-savannah Xero by using a Savannah Beaker on a glitched Xero. However, the Xero will also permanently gain the Glitched rarity.

Savannah Mane

Savannah Mane (Savannah)

Category: Fur Mutation
Species: Xero (Savannah subtype)

A long fluffy mane that can cover part or all of a Xero’s back, or even go onto their tail! The primary purpose of the mane is to protect the Xero’s back from UV damage from the sun, since there is not a lot of shade on the open grasslands this trait evolved on. Plus, it also serves as a fashion statement.

How to get this trait
This trait can only be added to Savannah Xeros, or by using a Savannah Vial on a Xero that has the "Glitched" status.
Savannah Hooves

Savannah Hooves (Savannah)

Category: Body Mutation
Species: Xero (Savannah subtype)

An adaptation for moving swiftly on wide-open grasslands. These hooves are rounded, modified claws whose purpose is to protect the Xeros feet from rocks and difficult terrain while running. Since these hooves can see some extra wear and tear it is recommended to clean them out daily.

Restrictions To This Trait

Hooves must be placed in symmetrical pairs while adding this trait to a Xero. This means that you may do something like only adding hooves to a Xeros feet paws and have normal Xero hand paws or adding hooves to all 4 limbs. You may not, however, mix and match by, for example, adding one hooved foot and one hooved hand paw.

This trait can not be added onto BOTH sets paws of Xeros with the Webbed Paws or Digging Claws trait.

How to get this trait
This trait can only be added to Savannah Xeros, or by using a Savannah Vial on a Xero that has the "Glitched" status.
